is it possible to do a frugal install to a USB pen drive?

i created a primary linux partition on it and when i run frugal_instal.sh, it says that it only works reliably on hda.

if it were possible to frugal install to my usb, i wouldn't have to trick syslinux into working on it every new version.

They say if you play a Microsoft CD backwards, you hear satanic messages. That's nothing, cause if you play it forwards, it installs Windows.

The frugal script uses lilo. The USB pendrives use syslinux. I am currently looking into making a new script for USB with features similar to frugal.

Thks for the answers guys!

I'm having a great time with the DSL on my laptop.
But i'd had little problems.

And, when i'm trying to install some app (like g++) says that depends on other and other other, etc And on the end depends on one that needs to be upgraded (libc6) and the apt-get can't upgrade it.

I'm doing this cause i like to install the wmwifi dockapp (http://wmwifi.digitalssg.net/) and, in fact, any app that i need to compile.

The error (aparently casues by fault of g++) is:

Quote

checking how to run the C preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check

When i did the ./configure

OK
Luckly, wmwifi comes too on a .deb file so i installed really easy (the 0.2 version cause the 0.4 display Err).
And i'm very happy with my DSL system.

But... any clue to solve the cpp problem?

Another newb question.
Its too hard/easy to remastering the distro? So i can burn a .iso of the system that i'm runing rith now? It would be REALLY GREAT if i would can do that.

Thks again!

PD: Sorry if i miss the right words, my english it's on the way!!

You should next learn how to use the search button on the forum page. This has been answered many times.

1. from system menu Apps->Tools->Enable Apt
2. from the desktop icon myDSL grabit gnu-utils.dsl
3. edit /etc/apt/sources.list
   change stable to unstable
4. apt-get update

Now your apt-get install make gcc g++ will work
