Happy Chrismukkah, everyone.
I've given the LiveCD version a go, and want to install to HD. It seems like a sensible solution to getting my ancient machine, currently running (barely!) a highly corrupted version of Win98 to talk my new iPod (No '98 support from iTunes)
So...I currently have a 20GB disk, which is my 98 install, set to Master. C: in Windows-speak, hda1 in DSL. I don't really want to move the data from there. I'd much rather my smaller, 4GB drive (D: / hdd1), currently with its jumpers set to Slave.
Can I just follow the cfdisk partitioning instructions, substituting 'hdd1' for 'hda1'? Can I tell Lilo to install to hdd1? Will I have to phtsically reset hdd1 to slave.
(Non-techie answers aprecciated. I'm new at this game)
