I'm seeing intermittent errors, maybe every other boot where DSL hangs on the line where it's accessing the KNOPPIX image on my /dev/hda1 (frugal dual boot).  Today it made it past that on the third boot, then hung up completely later reporting a DMA error.  Think the HD or the controller is failing or is there something I can do with it?  The XP on the other drive is fine (that's what I'm using to write this), so I guess the MBR and grub are OK on hda1.  Maybe I could just re-copy the image onto the drive?

It turns out that /dev/hda3 was corrupted.  Fixed it and moved on.
