ok, here is my situation,
I did the hdd install to a seperate HDD on my machine, I dual boot with Windows XP. I used to use Ubuntu, but because of disk space requirements, I need a lighter version of Linux.
When I had Ubuntu installed, Grub would automatically put the necessary entries for me to access either Windows or Ubuntu, but with DSL it doesn't do this, so here I am with a Linux drive and no access to it.
How can I get Grub to work on this setup? I use NTFS on Windows, and I don't swap between the two OS's so I have no need for a fat32 swap space.
if I set my linux drive to boot first then I get that lovely error 17 from Grub.
Any ideas???
