I'm trying out DLS for it, and it works great when running it from the cd.

BUT I want to make a HD-install, as the CDrom-drive in the pc isn't too good...

When I try to do a Frugall, I get the error-message "No space left on device" after the install-program has formatted my partition.

I have a 100MB boot-partition, a 150mB Swap, and the rest of the disk is home.

And I know there is space, as the disk is formatted...

Can anyone help shedding some light on what I'm doing wrong?

Edit: And yeah, I see I made a typo in the subject ;)

It's supposed to say No space left on DEVICE ;)

Did you do the mke2fs /dev/<whatever you boot partition is> command?  If I remember correctly (and that is a big if), I ran into this if I forgot the mke2fs command.  You also need to do mkswap <partition> and swapon on the swap partition and do a make file system command on the non-boot partition.

Got to install it now.

Now I just need to work out a few other problems...

When I try to format my second drive (the 250Gig one), I get the message "Killed" in the terminal window.
That drive is previously formatted as ext3 from when I tried to get RedHat9 working on the machine.
Is it still usable for my needs? Or do I need to do something with it? Want to use that as my download disk/fileserver.

Also - when I try to download stuff from mydsl, I get told to mount the media and try again.
But I have my apps-disk mounted (hda3) and a tmp catalog on it...

Duckman - I am not a long time user so I am hoping someone can chime in with some advise.  But here is my 2 cents.  DSL works fine with ext3 format but I do not think it is recommended for older slower processors.  I do not know why you are getting the killed message.  But make sure you do not have the partition mounted when attempting to re-partition it. Also I would delete the old partition prior to trying to create a new one. Other than that I am not sure and perhaps someone else can help.

For the second issue, it is tell you that it wants to download to a partition that is not mounted.  Check to see that the partition you are down loading to is mounted.  It could be that it is trying to download to hda1 (assuming that is not your swap partition) and it is not mounted.
