I have installed several Linux distros using a boot CD....the latest was Damn Small Linux. I did a "frugal" install successfully and ended up with a GRUB loader arrangement. Now, I can no longer get "past" the boot from /dev/hda1/ where the DSL was placed as part of the install...that is I have another "live" ISO CD....and unlike any previous occassions.....it won't boot at startup time. I try editing the boot command string when GRUB starts...trying to change from /dev/hda1 to /dev/scd0/ etc. but nothing works...it may sense that the CDROM ISO is not DSL I don't know. Does anyone know how I can get the boot sequence back to using the CD as the 1st boot order device ??
