Hey all.

I have a small computer with a 128 Meg flash card as a hard drive. i wanted to try dsl on this. the trouble is though the drive is not shown up as hda i think it is hdb or something. (you can tell a newbie a mil eoff)

was wondering is there any way i can using a normal pc copy relavant files across to the flash card activate it in some way so it boots. thus avoiding the install process as its not happy not being hda

thanks alot Paul

In my brief experience, I think the answer is no.  When you do an HD install, it extracts/expands in to a lot more space, so you would not have anything to copy the files from, that would match what you need for an HD install.

If you already had an installed copy someplace, you should be able to copy it to the flash and make it work.

You might look in to the USB pen drive install process though, if you have a thumb-drive laying around.
