After a little screwing around I got the Frugal install working and got home=hda1 mysdl=hda1 and opt=hda1 added to the grub loader.

Ok a fiew questions the myDSL folder does it go in /home or /home/dsl
and is it case sensitive?

:EDIT:problem solved---->:EDIT:How do you turn off the help page that loads everytime you start up.

The /home in / is it the same as the /home in /mnt/mda1/home ?

Also what is the meaning of the colours of files and folders.
example the /home dir is light blue while the /cdrom dir is darkblue?

#dillo /usr/share/doc/dsl/getting_started.html &>/dev/null &
in your /home/dsl/.xinitrc

For the color question, I assume you are talking about the colors you see when using emelfm file manager.

To understand or change the colors open Emelfm. Click the center button called Configure  then select the Interface-Colors.   You should see a window that describes the colors and what they mean.  By clicking on the color you should be able to change it.

I'd tell you what they mean but I've changed my so long ago that I don't know what the base system uses anymore.

Good luck

The DSL Forum Search default is 'OR'
If you search for "cat dog" you will get all "cat" posts and all "dog" posts.
If you search for "cat AND dog" you will only find results that contain BOTH "cat" and "dog"
Add '*' for wildcards, " cat* and dog* "
