Hey everyone,
I've got an old(er) machine here, probably way too old to run DSL but I'm pretty determined. The only problem is the BIOS is ancient and does not support a CD-ROM, nor does the motherboard have a USB port.
It's in the area of 120MHz w/ 32 RAM with a 10/100 NIC and US Robotics 56k modem. If anyone can think of how I could install this via network please let me know.
Cheers

According to most of the documentation you are able to make a boot floppy, but that is essentially just for older (but in this case, newer) computers that did not support boot from CD... so the floppy would act as the CD's boot record, then redirect the install to the CD.

Another way of doing it is using a frugal install which I did not want to do.

Any thoughts?
Cheers

32mb may be fine for a permanent frugal installation, depending on your use.

However, once you have it running, you can use any of the install scripts too.

Hello,

did you read this:

Works fine for my 486/40(!) 32MB/1.3GB with a 10 NIC.
