burned the syslinux ISO to a CD-R. The MD5 checksum is correct. However, when I boot from the dsl bootfloppy or directly from CD on one system, I get "Can't find KNOPPIX filesystem" (but this may be a whole other issue... see http://damnsmalllinux.org/cgi-bin....t=15070 for details). When I use it on another, newer system, whether I boot from the CD directly or via the DSL bootfloppy, it hangs. Running in default setup mode I get two penguins at the top and a white square (like the insert cursor in xterm) below it. If I run "dsl vga=normal", I get a message about IRQ 1, and a stack dump from the CPU consisting of two long blocks of hex addresses.
I realize I'm seeing two seperate problems here, it's just frustrating to me that I can't get it to work at all, anywhere... does anyone have any suggestions? Otherwise, I guess I'll have to give Slackware a shot for my old boxes... :\
