Hi everyone,
I've been trying to boot dsl from a cd on my computer for the last five hours. Here's what happens: The boot prompt shows up, I can type in whatever parameters I want (failsafe, install, expert, vga=normal, toram, waitusb ...) but I only get to "Ok, booting the kernel" and then the system stops with a blinking in the line below, or a blank black screen. The cd is being read for about 10 seconds maybe and then the drive is quiet, too. I'm tired of restarting my computer over and over and over again, can somebody please help me here? BTW, I've booted that same CD in VMWare and it works perfectly. The embedded version works fine as well.
I have a pretty normal celeron 1,5GHz - 512MB computer with no extra hardware attached and a VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP graphics card.
Appreciate your help!
Daniel
