i would really like to try out DSL on my old notebook, but i have a problem

after installing DSL on my HD (without any errors or problems), when i reboot and chose DSL from grub boot menu, i get this error:

error 28: selected item cannot fit the memory

now, i have 256MB ram, and about 1gig cpu... i have no idea why i get this error...

can i bypass it with some boot tags? can i try to load it into ram? has anyone any advice?  :)
