Thanks in advance for any help on this:

I'm running DSL on my old Dell Latitude. When I did the HD install I was having monitor issues. I resolved them by adding the commands "fb800x600" and "dsl xsetup" to lilo.conf then running the lilo command. Once I did this I was prompted with the xsetup options where I could choose Xfbdev, USB mouse (no), IMPS/2 mouse (yes), and choose the us keyboard layout.

This works but I'm prompted with these options at every boot. How do I set it up so those options are saved so I don't need to enter them at boot time? Examples of the commands and where to put them would be most appreciated.

dsl xsetup
causes DSL to prompt you every time.

Take that off, (and restore a backup of .xserverrc) and you should be fine.
