Hello to everyone,

I have very simple question - after frugal installation can I modify the image? For example - I have completely removed XFCE when halt they system is there any way these changes to be remembered in KNOPPIX ?

And if it is negative answer will Debian HD install help me in this situation?

Thanks in advance!

XFCE is not included in dsl by default...

You can look for "remastering" the base KNOPPIX image.  Theres a huge thread on this.

Doing a traditional debian-style hd-install does not modify that image, but any changes are permanent/persistent due to the nature of that installation.
