So here I am posting on a rescued thinkpad 360cse. Its been an oddesy to get here. The boot scren reports a might 11Mb of memory unfortunetly its not true DSL thinks there is 9Mb.
There is no CD-rom drive & only an old type pcmcia socket (well there are two of those). I was going to do the classic poormans type install, but Tomsrtbt wouldn't boot, Hal-91 would but getting the network card working proved to be a step too far. I found an old freecom CD-rom lying around and a pcmcia card for it. Freedos got that working a bit of partition hacking with HAL-91 got me a 250mb parttiton and a 60mb oneFrom thre I was ablle to cobble a frugal type install together & then use it to do a HD-install (with a bt of messing with versions) and so here I am
