Hi Guys,

Is it true that a frugal system can be just switched off  using the power button without having to do a proper shutdown of the OS? if yes why is it so ?

thanks.

This is exactly the reason why I am working with it and trying to make my applications run on it.
Each boot is just as a boot from CD without any possibility of a system corruption due to a wild shutdown. Configuring /home and /opt on another partition allows some memory between the boots (so I can install permanently my applications). A corruption on those partitions can be fixed by a fsck. On a regular linux system, I have never been able to repair a corrupted / partition. Linux re-installation was the only way.
