-Erased all partitions, made one new one, and formatted it. -Booted from the CD (checksum checked) -Checked that it was indeed 'hda1' using cfdisk (didn't change anything) -Chose the standard install from the menu (not frugal) -To hda1 -Chose grub
!!! On restart, bios screen then 'missing operating system'
-Repeated with lilo
!!! Same problem
This is with dsl-n (but I didn't know that the dsl-n forums required a whole new account, and it'll take a week before the one I just signed up for is activated).
So, can anyone help?
I am new at this Linux stuff.
