When the floppy boot gets to the prompt ( boot: ) Hit F2 for your options... Then type " dsl 2 " This should take you to the linux prompt ( root@box~# )
To HDInstall - type " dsl-hdinstall " To Install Frugally - type " frugal_instal " ( Runs just like the CD , but bootable )
The frugal method will install to a linux or dos/fat partition.
The HDInstall requires you to have at least an ext2 partition on your Hard Drive, and a swap partition is also recommended.. This needs to be done BEFORE running the installer.
And just to try it out FIRST, copy the files on the cd to the HD, and use your boot floppy to bootup. At the first (boot: ) prompt, type " dsl xsetup fromhd=hda1 " and see if it runs ok from Hard Drive before installing...
