There does not appear to be a way to sort by author or genre in Xmms. I just put 530 Mp3s on my DSL box and don't see how I can possibly create any meaningful playlists without being able to do this. Is there a script or plug-in that has these features? Perhaps another Mp3 player that does? And btw, I am very impressed with DSL. I looked at a lot of distros before choosing this one, it's ready for my application right out of the box.
