Hi, new here, and to linux.
Just wondering what i need to edit so that dsl gets my network configuration running during boot? Do i need to add a line to filetool.lst? Or elsewhere?

Secondly, i was wondering if anybody experienced a problem with Fire Fox (it happened on windows also) where by it loads a page and then while trying to open links from that page, it continually reloads the original page? It may well be my dodgy network and internet connection sharing.

Finally, how do you prevent the introduction txt file from opening everytime you boot dsl?

Thanks in advance, and thanks for dsl,
Jay.

Hello Jay,

I've got FF V1.0PRE and experienced the same problem with the over-and-over reloadling page just like you. It happens to me when i try to read corporate-mail (work) via the internet (webaccess/Groupwise). I don't know why it happens...
If you want to kill the intro-text edit your /home/dsl/.xinitrc (don't know if it is dillo or link that shows the intro-text, find it and put a: # in front of it so it won't start again). Put the line: /home/dsl/.xinitrc in your /opt/filetool.lst and make a backup. Next time you reboot the backup.tar.gz will be restored and so will the changed .xinitrc...

I am not sure what you mean with network config? look in your /home/dsl and examine the maps with a dot in front of it (use emelfm and click the H-button to see hidden maps/files). If you changed .LinNeighborhood than you should add that to the filetool.lst and back-it-up)

Good luck.
