Hey all,

I asked this in a different thread, but anyhow:
I was wondering what are the minimum hardware requirements DSL requires to run? I plan to install to HD but in my knowledge if the computer has no OS as it is, I'd need to boot from CD anyhow.

The target computer I had in mind is my friends 75 mhz  P1.
I don't yet know the RAM + HD specs but will update those as I find out.

Would be awesome if it worked on such a low end machine!!!!

Sorry if this has been addressed but a search of the forums and main website didn't turn up anything, afaik.

I use with Pentium 1 60MHz computer and 40MB of RAM.

a minimum of 100MB of hard disk space is needed for the poormans install + a swap partition or dosswapfile

The most critical thing is you need RAM.

You need 16MB to get a graphical desktop.

You can boot with less RAM, but you will be using the computer in TEXT mode like an old MSDOS prompt.
