OK, I have an old Toshiba Portege 3020CT Laptop.  Right now it has Debian installed.  What I would like to do is install Damn Small on another partition.  The only method I have to get data into this thing is  by ethernet.  I have the Damn Small ISO downloaded.  Is there some sort of script I can use to install it, or am I out of luck here?

I had a similar situation...I wanted to install to a
old machine with a bad CD-ROM.

I removed the harddrive, put it in as slave into another
machine and booted from the DSL CD.  Then followed the
hard drive install process.

Then put the drive back in the old machine...  ;-)

same i talk in n posts about.

nothing will boot,
except you have a loader.

i found out in the meantime that lilo
cannot allocate boot points by itself,
(because i want an automated scripted version)
only after install.

here is a good but still cumbersome GRUB grub advice
