Weird things happen with my P4 Intel D865GBF board, when I try to install DSL 1.1 from CD to hd.

The keyboard works during the boot process until the little penguin appears on the top left corner of the screen, telling my "Welcome to...". After that it's frozen. The boot process continues and X comes up, where the mouse is also frozen.

When I try booting with Knoppix 3.3. or Ubuntu 5.04 LiveCDs there's no problem at all.

Any clues what happens here?

Can you be more specific about your hardware?

Keyboard ? =  USB? Wireless? PS/2?
Mouse ? = USB? Wireless? PS/2?

If they are USB, check your bios for an option to
enable USB keyboard, or enable USB Legacy Devices.

Once you have a keyboard working, ( maybe borrow a ps/2? )
Boot up your DSL CD with the option " dsl xsetup "
and see if you can manually pick your type of mouse,
just to test that it will work in DSL..

keyboard and mouse are both ps/2

I tried dsl xsetup, but as I said, I have no keyboard control anymore at this point of the boot process

I have the same problem except I am using USB for both the keyboard and mouse.

Right when DSL starts to load services (it says scanning for USB devices) after the boot screen is when my keyboard stops working.
