Hi All,
I have some problems installing DSL. Firstly I tried to install DSL frugal. Installing no problem, booting no problem, but starting fluxbox make my machine hang. I see fluxbox starting and I see all apps starting even dillo (not commented yet) and the apps on the right side. But before I move use my mouse the screen becomes black and the only thing I can do is shutdown the machine by holding the powerswitch for 8 seconds.
I commented the enhance script in .xinitrc and this seems to work. But when I try to open for example mydslPanel and selection a button, the machine hangs again.
Running from the LiveCD I have no problems. Even installing mydsl apps works.
Somethings I've seen:
When the system did work ( I do not exactly know when and in what way) and was just started, I moved the mouse and instandly I moved to the 4th screen and the rightbutton menu opened without me using a button.
Yesterday I got XFree86 + nvidia working and this seemed to solve the problem. I haven't tested it much. It was late!
The machine I have is a 600 Mhz P3 with a nvidia TNT2 32 Mb.
I have a hd-install right now, but will try to install it frugally later with XFree + nvidia...
Has someone an idea why I had these problems?
