Hello,

I want to try and boot into DSL via the DOS utility 'loadlin'.

I am using this utililty to boot into RH9, with great success - forget all that lilo/grub nonsense!

But:

1) what do I use as the 'vmlinuz'
2) do I assume that the 'root' partition is just the partition where DSL resides?

Regards,

Geoff.

If you have installed DSL on to a hard disk, it should be located in your /boot folder.

For the LiveCD, check the contents of the boot floppy image.

The boot floppy should also contain the initrd or initial ram disk file.

Good Luck.
