Hmm, how about some sort of script that can tell if a file has been modified or added since the original install (need a reference file?), and back up said files? Might possibly be a way of creating the "modular" DSL - ie., do an install, add opera, php and mysql (a "server" module), find which files have been added, and create a system to allow these files to be compressed, backed up, uploaded -> the reverse to install said package!?
Just shooting in the dark here...
