I have read a few post and rayor seem to have a similar problem, and maybe I need some more info. cfdisk -No partition table or unknown signature
I tried to install 6.3 on my HDD and Here is what I have- Disk /dev/hda: 20.0 GB, 20020396032 bytes 255 heads , 63 sectors/track, 2434 cylinders Units= cylinders of 16065 * 512=8225280 bytes
Disk /dev/hda doesn't contain a valid partition table
I wiped out windows and old version and DSL 6.1 to have a clean install (dual boot). I also did FDISK /mbr from the windows boot disk ( possible BIG mistake :-( ) I reinstalled to check if the drive would still install , what do I need to do - I have windows. I want to install DSL and a few apps (OpenOffice and Firefox) HELP.!!
I also tried to use fdisk to create a few partitions and when it tries to write to the disk the box freezes?
