I've hd-installed 0.6.3 and everything seems to be ok, but when I reboot machine I must do again netcardconfig, is that correct? I maintain my pppoe settings and pon-dsl provider without problems but I must do netcardconfig every time I waht share my adsl connection with my son via iptables
Is there any configuration file or so where I can write my net configuration and make start the nat-filter file, avoiding re-type each time I boot?

Put your ifconfig, route, and other misc configurations in /opt/bootlocal.sh

it's weird that we have to do tricks like these, why does the regular init.d thingy does not work ?

Quite simple really. DSL is primarily a liveCD system. There are way too many standard run of the mill hard drive linux distributions. Therefore, as it is stated in the docs, the hard drive installed DSL runs the same way as the liveCD. That is autodection runs at boot up. Actually this is an advantage, when you move the hard drive into new computer. But because, fstab and other are rebuilt upon boot up, you simply put your custom configurations into /opt/bootlocal.sh. Now that is not very difficult. Actually it is easier than huting down where to put these commands. Also support is easier as it is the same for hard drive installed or liveCD, or frugally installed systems. There is much tought that goes into the creation of DSL.

I've noted you can automate backup process at shutdown time by uncommenting a line in powerdown.sh in /opt.Is there any .sh I can make for automate backup process at reboot time? I've tried reboot.sh but in does not work?
Tks!
