I installed dsl 2.0 this morning on a Gateway 500 mhz laptop. I was previously running dsl 1.5. The computer now locks up when it attempts to stop the PCMCIA devices at shutdown and admits a continuous beep. However, if I use the PCMCIA gui from the dsl control panel to eject the cards I can shutdown fine. Note: The laptop had no problem shutting down with 1.5. I don't mind using the work arround, but was wondering if there is a fix or a configuration that needs to be changed.
Thanks
