Try dmesg | less and page through the list checking closely after the usb & pci entries
For instance mine appears as es1371
PCI: Enabling device 00:0f.0 (0000 -> 0001) PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:0f.0 eth0: Winbond 89C940 found at 0xfca0, IRQ 10, 00:20:78:15:80:56. es1371: version v0.32 time 18:08:26 Sep 19 2003 PCI: Enabling device 00:10.0 (0004 -> 0005) PCI: Found IRQ 11 for device 00:10.0 PCI: Sharing IRQ 11 with 00:07.2 es1371: found chip, vendor id 0x1274 device id 0x1371 revision 0x02 es1371: found es1371 rev 2 at io 0xfc40 irq 11 es1371: features: joystick 0x0 ac97_codec: AC97 codec, id: TRA35 (TriTech TR A5)
