I have a pendrive installation with DSL 2.3. If I boot in a PC with sb I have sound. But in my PC I can't play anything.

In System stats the output in Hardware is:
SOUND_FULLNAME="VIA Technologies VT8233 (AC97 Audio Controller)"
SOUND_DRIVER="via82cxxx_audio"

The lsmod output:

so.. what to put in  modprobe as io, irq, dma, dma16 and mpu_io to work correctly?

Thanks for the help!

I'm having the same problem, but I think it's hardware in my case.  In your case, If you are using alsa, open a terminal and type in alsamixer. Then unmute everything using the m key. Only mute the external amp.

Doobit, thanks.

Now I have sound in my PC, but first I have to boot with "dsl alsa" and to load gnu-utils.dsl, dsl-dpgk.dsl and alsadebs.dsl, and last Alsa install.

Do you know the difference between alsadebs.dsl and alsa.dsl?. With the second one it doesn't work.

Thanks

They are for different kernel versions. The info about that is in the info file.
Also, if you put the gnu-utils and alsadebs and dsldbpkg files in the top directory of
the pendrive then they will load automatically. I put dsl alsa in my boot line when I installed, so it loads automatically.
