Hey I have 2.1 er maybe 2.2 frugal installed with permanent /opt and /home etc. I forget how I did it but flash installed just fine pretty much like roberts says. Don't sweat it, just keep trying dude. That Neil Young album is pretty sweet! Flash just installed to the default llocation no problems. Email me if your totally stuck.

To get frugal running sweet... before flash bloatware injection

Thanks botbotdingzip, I had no luck not even with manual flash install attempts so switched to DSL-N which uses Mozilla which installed flash no prob. I used clivesay's excellent howto for both frugal installs.
Don't know if you know anything about dual boot installs but now I have this problem:

Linux dual boot (frugal) install
