i was having problems w/ my sound blaster live card not playing sound. i checked the connections, sound played fine on other operating systems. DSL boot up showed that it had found the SBLIVE card and was using the drivers. then i remembered that i also had onboard sound on the motherboard. i disabled the onboard sound in the bios and now i have no problems. maybe that will help out?
