Hi. Glad that I'm finally able to try linux in some form. DSL certianly has a nice look and feel.
Of course one of the easiest things to do with DSL, in my opinion, would be browse the web. Don't need to save anything, just browsing the web would be a fun way to use DSL from time to time, for me.
However, I can not manage to make DSL recognize my high speed Internet connection. How do I make it recognize my connection? I've been connecting directly from my router to the ethernet port on my notebook. I have a built-in PCI wireless card, but I figure DSL would never support that, and so I got out the cable and connected directly to the router. Why doesn't it recognize my connection? Does it have the capabilities to do this? I have cable Internet service. Should I try connecting directly to the cable modem rather than at the router? I don't really see how that could help though.
I appreciate your help.
