Does anyone have a driver for a Broadcom 57xx network adapter (integrated into Dell 8400 motherboard/PCI type)?

royvw56, yes, I have a Dell with that onboard network adapter.  I need to use an extension from the system section of the repository to make it work.

First download bcm5700.tar.gz from the above link and place it onto a floppy or CD.  You can use windows or anything else you want to get it.  Then start up DSL and run the emelfm program.  Navigate to the bcm5700.tar.gz file and highlight it, then press the myDSL button in emelfm.  Now there should be a new menu item in the right click MyDSL menu for loading those drivers.  Select that item by choosing "Initialize Broadcom 5700" from the DSL->MyDSL right click menu.  Then choose the DSL->System->Net Setup->netcardconfig option.

This should have you up and running.

Thanks Clacker.

Well, I got emelFM running, but I don't see a MyDSL button.  My version of emelFM is 0.9.2.  Where is it?

Clacker:  OK, I now see the MyDSL button (clicked on the emelfm icon on my desktop).  But, am stuck from there.  I don't follow your instructions.  Sorry.  I ask your patience with me.

After you have selected the bcm5700.tar.gz file in emelfm and then pressed the MyDSL button, you need to run two things from the right click menu.  Move the mouse over an area of the screen that is not covered by a window and press the right mouse button.  A menu will pop up and you can choose the the DSL->MyDSL->"Initialize Broadcom 5700" and then the DSL->System->Net Setup->netcardconfig options.
