Hi,

I'm completely new to Linux, so I have no idea where/how to set the network settings. I'm using DSL on my laptop which usually runs WinXP. It is connected to another computer which shares it's internet connection. In WinXP I set my IP and DNS to automatic. Can I do something similar in DSL? When I just run DSL it looks like I don't have internet connection. Dillo says something like DNS could not resolve...

Thanks!

DSL should have its ip and dns set to automatic if you have a dhcp server on your network. Try using DSLpanel from the enhanced desktop  and selecting netcardconfig.

The other machine is running win xp, I suppose it has a dhcp server running? I know I tried dhcp in netcardconfig but that didn't work. I can't tell you what the error message was because I'm not at home right now, but I will post it as soon as I can.

Thanks!
Pieter
