My PC's network card uses the 8139too driver(?)/module(?)

I ran modprobe 8139too without errors.

Tried to use the netcardconfig, both using DHCP (the pc is connected to a netgear router) and by putting in manual information.

Took the pc off the router and ran the cable from the cable modem straight to the pc, no luck.

Running ifconfig eth0 I see that the computer does 'see' the card, it tells me the MAC address.

I can ping 127.0.0.1 so ip is there.

Any advice?  Thanks.

Networking does work on an identical PC.  Seems to be a hardware issue.

Thanks,

Hello,
I am new to DSLinux and...
I've got some problems with my netcard - it doesn't work.

My netcard is integrated on my mainboard (Soltek, 75FRN-L)
It is not recognized by DSL.
:-(
Is there anything I can do to make it work?

Please, HELP!
