I'm new to DSL. I'm running DSL 2.4.26 as a hard-disk install within a VirtualPC installation. The install works 100% fine EXCEPT I cannot get the DEC 21140 network card recognised.
--------------------
lspci -v shows:

0000:00:0a.0 Ethernet controller: Digital Corporation DECchip 21140 [FasterNet] (rev 20)
Subsystem: Unknown device 0a00:2114
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 11
I/O ports at ec00 [size=128]
Memory at febff000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4k]
Expansion ROM at febfe800 [disabled][size=2k=]
---------------------

I've turned off acpi via BIOS (but this was after the install).

I also _think_ that the DEC drivers are the same as the "Tulip" drivers.

---------------------
However, ifconfig just shows the following:

lo    Link encap:local Loopback
     inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask 255.0.0.0

etc etc.
---------------------
There is no eth0 showing.

Another source of personal confusion is that running "netcardconfig" responds as follows:

---------------------
Sending DHCP broadcast from Device eth0 OK.
auto lo eth0
---------------------

That's it ! Can anyone provide me with some pearls of wisdom. I will really appreciate any help.

Best regards,
