i need a program that allows me to connect to other pc's on my network. on earlier linuxes i tried there was a program wich allowed me to connect to even windows pc's is this also possible with dsl?

How did you do it before, how do you want to do it, what was the program called, what kind of install do you have, what are your system specs?

You may be referring to LinNeighborhood which inplements Samba. Check out the myDSL listings and download the Samba.dsl. This will allow you to share directories in your network with Windows computers.
