If you can't get it working with USB and standard knoppix works ok
should also work with morhpix etc if you are having the same problem.

shell
sudo -u root modprobe CDCEther

have a check
dmesg
ifconfig

netcardconfig

I've done that, but still can't get online.

netcardconfig works and and ip, gateway, broadcast, and dns get configured.
The modem does go online to get that info, right?

But i can´t browse anything. Ping doesn't work too.
Copied all those parameters from Windows (winipcfg), but it's the same thing.

I don't know what i am doing wrong here, as i am new to Linux

:) I've said that netcardconfig works! ifconfig shows me same info i have on windows, same IP, dns, etc..
I mean, everything works ok, the modem is configured, ip assigned, DNS servers, all ok to go!

But if i try to ping some ip, browse, or wathever, it just sits there like i haven't got any modem.

I guess it just isn't supported, i've heard that cable modem via usb, do get some trouble to work on linux.

Have you checked /etc/resolv.conf to see if the DNS servers are actually configured properly?
