Just like the topic says, I'm using an old 56.6k modem, and symaptico dial-up access, when i'm online, the net graph, part of the system monitoring panel (bottom right of the screen) does not show the data rate or a graph of any kind, do i have to edit a config file???????

The dock app is called wmnet
Try typing "wmnet --help" in a shell for options

Maybe change the -W or --device to pppstats....
The default is monitoring the eth0 device.

Play with it in a shell first..
If it boinks, just kill the shell..

Once you have found nirvana, edit your /usr/bin/enhance file
with your new parameters..

For liveCD or frugal install,
remember to add the new /usr/bin/enhance file to your filetool.sh
