Well it is very strange, but !!!
I did a hard disk install of dsl0.6.2 and setup my network card using my static ip address. Started Dillo an it was all Ok. So i did a shutdown. Next time i booted and got on Dillo, said it could find the Internet.
Strange thing is that when i kill X with Alt-Ctrl-BS and do a "netcardconfig" and then "startx" everything is a Ok.
Bad thing is that i have to do this every time i start dsl.
Is Automatic DHCP responsible for this? How do i make it not start DHCP at bootup??
Thanks in advance !

For a hard drive installed system, you need to edit /etc/lilo.conf then look for the append line. Add the parameter nodhcp
Then use lilo command to install.
