Encryption is 64 bit but doesn't appear to be set. That doesn't sound good. Do you mean that your AP requires a WEP key, but that you are having a hard time getting it set in DSL? If so, I think that is your problem.
First, get your connection working without any encryption. Always always always!, especially if you are having difficulties. Turn the encryption of your AP off, and the encryption of your DSL box. Try to get that working. Only after it works can you start playing with WEP.
As for the wireless extension warning, I get that in DSL-N RC2, but my card still works. I'm not sure exactly what it means.
Have you looked at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/List ? If not, it might be helpful. No one reporting has tested with DSL, but there is a Debian Sid and FC5. The one using debian (DSL is debian based) says he needed to load three drivers for his one card. Might be worth looking into.
Good luck.
