So, installed DSL on a Toshiba Tecra 520CDT.  Works fairly smooth for the most part...  And I REALLY hope I Can replace windows 98 on it...  So far so good, EXCEPT...

I have a wired pcmcia card, a Xircom ce3b-100btx.  CArd works.  Tested and works on other distros (Xubuntu specifically)

During boot, it tells me:  Resource temporarily unavailable, and a whole bunch of other things about the PCMCIA slot.
When I check the PCMCIA tool, it KNOWS that there is a card in there, but has no idea WHAT it is.  Tells me the voltage and all that, 16bit card...

So, as I'm new to linux...  I assume that I need a "Driver" to get this working.

I cant find one anywhere, and I'm a good Google-er...lol

Any ideas?

THanks

Wow, and I thought I was running old stuff with my Toshiba Satellite 2100CDT. :)

I'm currently trying to get mine to run DSL reliably without resorting to failsafe mode.  Got it up last night deep into the night and promptly forgot what I did to get it there. lol

While it was up, I noticed that it didn't have net, but it did install the kernel modules for my Xircom (RBE-100: RealPort CardBus Ethernet 10/100), but it still refused to use it.

I'm going to dig deeper into it, because I want this machine to be windoze free and available for my kids to learn programming on.

Let me know if you find any answers on your end, and I'll let you know if I find any on mine. :)
