Hi all,
I managed to install DSL on an USB Stick Swissbit by following the steps described under:

http://www.althack.com/2006/03/10/how-to-run-linux-on-a-usb-drive/

That worked quite well and I also managed to start via USB boot option.

The programs and tools provided out-of-the-box run very fast (on my notebook HP nx6325) and I'm quite impressed of DSL compared to massive WinXP installation.

Now I'd like to configure DSL in a way that Internet Connection is carried out automatically and all settings should be stored to the stick for the next boot - is that possible and how?

Ciao

If you used one of the tools, a corresponding script will be placed as /opt/my*.sh

Then you can back up that and if you're using a new version of DSL i think it can automatically add to /opt/bootlocal.sh - if not, you can just add it.
