Ah, yes - some scope for confusion here, what with dsl-3 using 2.4.26, dsl-2.1 using 2.4.31, dsl-4 starting off with 2.4.34.1 and moving back to 2.4.31 and finally dsl-n using 2.6.12...

CONFIG_BRIDGE=m (not sure if this is what you're looking for?)

Yes, that would be what I'm looking for. I would just have to load the module, correct?

Or would I first have to obtain the module?

I'm not familiar enough with DSL's architecture to know if the modules are included on the live CD iSO or not.

modprobe --list returns no results for "bridge". (I also looked in 3.0.1)

Does the ethernet bridge module go by another name?

Is there an alternative way to get the module for loading in a DSL system?

- You have a couple of options. Probably the easiest way is to look on the equivalent knoppix cd (3.4 for dsl-3.4, 4.02 for dsl-n) and see if you can find the module. If the module is there, you can just copy it across and use it.

If the above doesn't work then you can always compile the module from source.
