I'm using wpa-psk authentication with AES data encryption for my home windows wireless network security. This works fine between 2 XP laptops. I'm not able to connect to it with damn small linux. DSL does not seem to offer AES instead of TKIP for one thing. I only see the offer of WPA and WPA2 authentication, not wpa-psk.
After reading is seems this is the easiest method of wireless encryption that is secure without going deeper into corporate methods of authentication and encryption.
Could I get a few pointers as to what to do to get the DSL connected to the wireless network with the security I discribed? |
just to sympathize, I had my cards (I have 3, all work in XP but not in linux...)
Sadly this is reality, you have to buy the compatible wireless card first and then pick a linux distro that is known to be compatible...
