???  I found out my old modem is a no-go for linux. I am looking to get a new one. I checked on a Creative Labs: Modem Blaster V92 Serial. They said it will work with linux. Question is, will it?? I don't trust most companies. Also getting a Sound Blaster Audigy sound board. It's the best that will work with my Celeron 333Mhz processor. Do they sound OK to you guys?? Thanks.  :O

I don't know about the modem but I have an Audigy 2 Platinum card that works perfectly with the alsa driver.

They told me it was the best one to use with a old processor & 64M ram. I just want to be able to record from a microphone. The modem is a hardware modem so it should work. They said it comes with win & linux software. Thanks.
