I am so close to getting this wireless card to work.
It is a ENCORE TNETW1130 (54g PCI wireless) using XN-2523G drivers from the CD that came with the card.  The chipset is ACX 111.
When I first attempted this, I used the inf file and the win9x.sys file from the CD.  This never worked at all.
I went back and copied everything out of the driver directory on the cd except the win9x.sys file, and grabbed the win_XP.sys along with the .bin files and a couple others.   I copied them all into ramdisk (Running a LiveCD 2.1) and NDISWrapper connected to my wireless network.  But, no more than 20 seconds later, it totally locked up my system.  It was a complete hardware lockup.
I did find a couple other drivers written by other company (IE US Robotics.)  should I try these other drivers?   Or should I try running DSL 1.5.   Is this a kernal issue?
I found a dudes website at Craig's ACx100/111 Guide    showing people how to recompile the source code for the drivers, but if there is a easier way, I would like to try it.  But recompiling the source looks like a lot of fun to and a good learning experience since I have never worked with lower level code.
  Any suggestions?
