If so I recommend SmoothWall Express [2.0] which will run on comprable hardware that DSL will and will make it a very very powerfull (firewall/router only) system

Have you looked at Firestarter Linux Firewall Which can be built as a .dsl extension, which will allow you to manually build a very powerful firewall on DSL, I do believe it has the option to turn into a DHCP server with a single click!!!
